It is essential for leaders to understand what triggers workplace violence. This presentation will cover:
- How to recognize indicators that clients or employees may display that could foretell violence, and
- How to react appropriately to such behavior.
Lt. Michael Pearl of First Line Defense will discuss:
- How to identify situations that lead to workplace violence.
- How HR Professionals can promote awareness and provide training to prepare their workplace for a potential incident.
- Attendees will gain a better understanding of what they need to be aware of to help keep their workplace safe.
- The presentation will include active responses to the worse case of workplace violence, the armed intruder, and post incident considerations.
Lieutenant Michael Pearl, lead consultant for First Line Defense, is an active ranking police officer with over 17 years of experience. He currently serves as a regional team SWAT Commander and has extensive tactical training. He has conducted many physical security assessments coordinated several full scale exercises within communities, and trained hundreds of citizens and police officers in the top of Active shooter response.
Lt. Pearl has drafted emergency operations plans for businesses and schools throughout the region and exercised those plans. He has spearheaded warm zone EMS training with the fire service and law enforcement across New Hampshire.
