    Presidents Reports

    HRA-CG – Rhonda McVeigh

Our December Program is next week on the 19th. Presentation by Jon Wortmann, well known author and presenter. He’s presenting about “Performing Under Pressure.” Our January Program is something we do in January of every year. A panel of internal HR experts advising HR colleagues about HR challenges for the coming year, 2025. We’ll have experts presenting in all areas: benefits, employment law, staffing, nonprofits, etc. We continue to grow our membership by about at least two each month. Still working on growing members in the North Country. I also meant to mention that HRAGC received the 2024 SHRM Learning System Champion Status recognition for our SHRM Prep program we offer twice per year. 86 of the 127 affiliates offer this program, 19 were awarded the recognition, and HRAGC was one of the 19.

    Nashua – Catharine Mirabile

Greater Monadnock – Erin Dallas Patch

Greater Monadnock chapter is hosting its first ever social gathering in January. Our hope is to complete this quarterly to give area business owners and HR professionals an opportunity to network. We are working with a local restaurant to host the space for this.

Greater Merrimack Valley – Lori Monsein

On behalf of GMVHRA: We were lucky enough in December to have Andrea present virtually to our membership at our monthly meeting on: Legal Developments in Harassment Prevention. It was outstanding.

    For upcoming events we have:

January (virtual) HR Audits: Red, Yellow, Green: What Does it Mean?

    February (virtual) Employee Handbook Hygiene

    SHRA – Christi Green

Christi was not present.  She had emailed their membership is growing and as a result they have outgrown their location.  New location is Service Credit Union in January and February and likely Lighthouse Credit Union for the remainder of the year.  They hosted a fully remote/virtual meeting on Dec. 10 with Kenston Henderson, a speaker we saw at VLBM in 2023 who was well received.  All proceeds are being donated to the SHRM Foundation. Tina Holmes is the new President Elect who started immediately!  January meeting is a Legal Update with Andrea Chatfield and Jen Moeckle.  She provided feedback on VLBM 2024 she had shared she was disappointed in the program as well as the speakers; she provided her feedback to SHRM as well.
