In the field of Human Resources you are tested daily. You need to understand workplace laws, regulations and policies. You need to quickly assess situations and determine how best to proceed. In a seminar, on a PHR or SPHR exam, or in a safe environment like a seminar, where you are surrounded by your peers, it is easy to get the right answers. However, when you are at work and under stress, the law may not be as clear, the stakes are higher and the results may vary. That is especially true when the facts aren’t as clear as you would like, or your boss wants a different answer than the law may require—or how the jury might decide.
