    Handbook Highlights
Social Media, Non-Compete, and other trends!

    Attorney Thomas Closson
    Principal
    Jackson Lewis P.C.

We are in a constant state of change in all areas of our lives personally and professionally and the employee handbook is no different.  As employers, we need to ensure we are knowledgeable of the changes to laws that impact our policies and manuals including the employee handbook.

Part of this state of constant change is the evolving access to social media and the increasing impact in our workplaces.  What are our rights as employers to restrict access?  How do we incorporate this into our employee handbook?

Other top trends include non-compete agreements, employee privacy on company-owned devices and rules regarding the use of these devices, dress code, reasonable accommodations and so much more.

We look forward to Attorney Thomas Closson sharing insight, legal compliance concerns and ensuring we have 2020 vision with regards to our Handbook.
