Bamboozle your colleagues with a deeper understanding of FMLA and ADA compliance, including running leaves concurrently, FMLA leave as an accommodation under the ADA and permitted inquiries and medical examinations.


    Beth A. Deragon is Of Counsel at the law firm of Pastori | Krans, PLLC, in Concord, New Hampshire. She focuses her practice on counseling and training businesses on sound employment practices and defending businesses in employment litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Her areas of concentration reach across all aspects of the employer/employee relationship and include anti-discrimination training, employment contracts (non-competition, non-solicitation, and independent contractor agreements), wage and hour compliance, severance/separation agreements, investigations, employee handbooks, employee leave issues (FMLA, Worker's Compensation, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability) and recruitment through termination and layoffs. Ms. Deragon earned her J.D. degree from UNH School of Law and is admitted in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She earned her M.A. degree in Russian Language and Literature (Hons) from the University of Birmingham, UK, and her B.A. degree in Russian Language and Literature from the University of New Hampshire. She authored the NH chapter of: Employment at Will: A State-by-State Survey (First & Second Editions), ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law, Bloomberg BNA, 2017. Ms. Deragon was awarded Best Lawyers® 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019: Employment Law-Management; and Super Lawyers®: Employment & Labor Law - Employer. Since 2015, she has been the Chair of the NH Department of Labor Civil Penalty Appeals Board, appointed by the Governor.
