HAVE YOU CONSIDERED MEMBERSHIP IN A LOCAL SHRM-AFFILIATED CHAPTER?
Did you know that SHRM has a network of close to 600 affiliated chapters nationwide? Local affiliates provide an important forum for members’ personal and professional development, a networking arena, and a focus for legislative attention to local, state, and national human resource management issues. PHR, SPHR or GPHR certified professionals can also obtain HR Certification Institute recertification credits for attending local chapter programs, including strategic business management credits for some offerings.
There are six NH chapters and one VT chapter serving the needs of HR professionals in these areas: Keene, Concord, Manchester, Nashua, Salem, Portsmouth, and Lebanon/White River Junction. Contact information for each Chapter, including links to their respective websites, can be found at: http://www.nhstatecouncil.org/.
POTENTIAL NORTHERN NH SHRM AFFILIATE - In addition to our existing chapters in the state, we are currently exploring the level of interest in forming a SHRM-affiliated group in northern NH (Lakes Region north.) Due to the large geographic area, it may be feasible to form two groups – one north of Franconia Notch and one south of Franconia Notch- but the final structure would be determined by the members comprising the affiliate.
FOR MORE INFORMATION - If you are interested in finding out more about our existing SHRM-affiliated chapters, or would like be involved in exploring the formation of a new SHRM affiliate in Northern NH, please contact the NH State Council VP of Membership, Silvia McCarron, SPHR, at 603.997.6429 or silvia@smhrconsulting.com, and she would be happy to assist you!
