The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has stated that many company anti-harassment trainings are ineffective, unhelpful and can be counterproductive. Most trainings are designed to avoid legal liability rather than to change the behavior of supervisors and employees.
From 2012-2016, the EEOC received more than 12,000 charges of sex-based harassment each and every year. In 2017, the explosion of sex-based charges has caused widespread concern in companies throughout the country.
