Jim Goss Announces His Retirement!

    After serving his state and nation for over thirty-five (35) years as a member of the US military, and an additional ten (10) years working for a Department of Defense contractor, James (Jim) Goss has announced his retirement effective November 1, 2014.  During his lengthy military career, he rose to the rank of Sergeant Major, with a final assignment as the Recruiting & Retention Non-Commissioned Office of the NH Army National Guard.

    Following his military retirement in 2004, Jim accepted a position with Military Personnel Services Corp of Falls Church, VA as the full-time Executive Director of the NH Committee, Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR).  During that time, he served on the state Human Resources Council as the Military Liaison, as well as numerous committees with a variety of local Chambers of Commerce.  He also developed and enhanced relationships with both the NH Departments of Employment Security and Labor.

    Jim has been recognized on the national level for many programs that have been created and utilized throughout the military Reserve Components.   His most recent accolades include the Plymouth State University “Alumni Achievement Award” for his efforts with student veterans and the planning and coordinating of the University’s “Veterans Memorial Park”.  In addition, he was also recently recognized by the NH State Human Resources Council as the “2014 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year”.   Jim will maintain contact with the NH Employer Support Committee as a volunteer and can be reached at:  jgoss@nhesgr.com.
