Is Attendance an Essential Job Function?

2012 marked the seventh consecutive year that the number of charges filed under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has increased. Much of the agency’s ADA litigation has focused on employer’s so-called inflexible leave policies.

Join us virtually on the Web on Friday, March 29, from 9 – 10 am as attorneys from the national law firm of Jackson Lewis address the latest developments in this dynamic area of law, including:

    • The enforceability of no fault attendance programs
    • Excusing absences as a reasonable accommodation
    • Using creative approaches to manage absences, including intermittent leave
    • Investigating absences when an employer suspects fraud

Learn about pro-active solutions that will enhance your ability to manage workplace absences.
